えんの間は居間(おえ)と正面玄関との間にあり、来客の接待や控えの部屋として使われます。
　公開前は、家族団らんの間として活用していました。
　The Ennoma is between the Oe, living room, and the main entrance, and is used as a reception room or an anteroom for guests.
　Before the house was opened to the public as a museum, the Ennoma was used as a place for happy family gatherings.
