Mitsujo Tumulus |
It is located next to Mitsujo Elementary School. It is a grave of a person who used to govern the area, and is called a “tumulus.” It is the biggest tumulus in Hiroshima Prefecture. You can learn more about the tumulus in Higashihiroshima Central City Library next to Mitsujo Tumulus. |
Shingu Shrine |
This shrine is located near Teranishi Elementary School. Built in 1750, it is designated as an Important Cultural Property of Higashihiroshima City. |
Ishii Family Residence |
This is an old townhouse in a style called kabuto-zukuri (helmet-style). It has a doma (earthen floor), cooking stove and other tools that tell us about the lifestyle of people of the past. |
Minaga Stone Gate |
This arch-shaped stone aqueduct bridge was built above Route 2 to allow the irrigation channel to run under it. The national route used to run under the bridge. |
