Mitsujo Tumulus

It is located next to Mitsujo Elementary School. It is a grave of a person who used to govern the area, and is called a “tumulus.” It is the biggest tumulus in Hiroshima Prefecture.

Shingu Shrine

This shrine is located near Teranishi Elementary School. Built in 1750, it is designated as an Important Cultural Property of Higashihiroshima City.

 
Ishii Family Residence

This is an old townhouse in a style called kabuto-zukuri (helmet-style). It has a doma (earthen floor), cooking stove and other tools that tell us about the lifestyle of people of the past.

 
Minaga Stone Gate

This arch-shaped stone aqueduct bridge was built above Route 2 to allow the irrigation channel to run under it. The national route used to run under the bridge.
