JR Sanyo Main Line and Route 2 run east and west in the north of Hachihonmatsu Cho, going towards Hiroshima City and Saijo Cho. JR Hachihonmatsu Station is known as the highest altitude station (255 m) on JR Sanyo Main Line. The way from Seno Station to Hachihonmatsu Station is called “Senohachi,” and known as one of the steepest slopes in Japan.
Rural landscape lies to the south of Hachihonmatsu Cho. Industrial parks and various factories are located there for easy access.
