Yoshiwara Burdock
Yoshiwara Burdock is harvested in Yoshiwara District in Toyosaka. Known as “miraculous burdock,” this burdock is very soft and aromatic. Soil in Yoshiwara District is suited to the cultivation of burdock.


Apples
In Toyosaka Cho, apples are grown using the cool highland climate. The oldest apple tree in Hiroshima Prefecture is located there. Various kinds of apples, such as Tsugaru, Fuji, and Mutsu, are produced.

Farmers’ Market (Shikisaikan)
Toyosaka Cho specialties, such as rice, vegetables, eggs, flowers, rice cakes made of glutinous rice, and processed apples, are sold at the Farmers’ Market (Shikisaikan).
It is always crowded with customers who come to buy the fresh products.
