Higashihiroshima City is located in Hiroshima Prefecture. Hiroshima Prefecture has 14 cities and 9 towns. It shares borders with Okayama Prefecture to the east, Yamaguchi Prefecture to the west, Shimane Prefecture to the north, and Tottori Prefecture to the northeast. These 5 prefectures form the Chugoku Region. Hiroshima Prefecture also shares a border with Ehime Prefecture in the south and Kagawa Prefecture in the southeast across the sea.
