“Resurgent Daisan High School Goes to Tokyo”
Resurgent Daisan High School regained their former might, and they went to Tokyo in January 1917. Although being defeated by YC&AC 11-0, Daisan rallied to a 6-6 draw with Keio. This year's team of Daisan High School, which tied with domestically invincible Keio, was deemed as the strongest team.

“Annuals of Sports and Games” published by Asahi Shimbun contains the match records of rugby union teams including Keio University, YC&AC, Doshisha University, Daisan High School, and KR&AC. One of these records says: “The game was held at the Yokohama Honmoku field on December 18 at 2:30 PM. Keio gained a victory with a try scored by Matsui who received the ball from Mashima and Yano after the 20th minute in the second half.”
