“Kanto Rugby Football Club (AJRA) is Established”
To compete with the All White established in Kansai, the All Japan Rugby Association (AJRA) was established in Tokyo on 3 November 1920, mainly by Keio graduates.
This led to holding the first east-west rugby match for Old Boys based on the All White and the AJRA. This match picked up momentum to establish rugby football unions in Kanto and Kansai as organizations to manage rugby matches and rules.
“Osaka College of Commerce (Present Osaka City University) Forms a Rugby Football Club”
“The Osaka College of Commerce Rugby Football Club began their practices at Tennoji Park in the middle of November 1920. They had the first official match with the All White, suffering a sound defeat 19-3.”
“4th Japan Football Tournament (Toyonaka Field)”
Doshisha Junior High School, Kyoto Daiichi Commercial High School, and Keio Junior High School played in the junior-high class, where Doshisha won their second consecutive title. In the university and college class, Keio preparatory course, Kansai Gakuin, and Osaka College of Commerce participated, where Keio claimed the title.
