[JRFU] Yoshihiro Takagi (the first chairperson) was recommended as the chairperson which had been vacant for sometime. A long-time cherished rugby stadium, the Hanazono Rugby Stadium, was completed on November 22. With Prince Chichibu and Princess Chichibu invited as guests, the All-Japan Old Boys Invitational Tournaments were held in this stadium. All-Japan student team defeated the All-Japan Old Boys team 24-11.
* On November 1, the Emperor watched a rugby match for the first time at the All Kanto-Kansai Invitational Tournament held at the Jingu Stadium.
* The match of Kyoto University vs. KR&AC that was held at the Kobe East Park on November 3 was broadcast on NHK radio for the first time.
[University] Kyoto Becomes the National Champion for Three Consecutive Years: Despite a draw with Keio 9-9, Kyoto defeated Doshisha, Kansei Gakuin, Meiji, and Tokyo and was approved as the third consecutive champion without losses during this season. Keio was defeated by Meiji, 6-3, at the Kanto Inter-University Rugby Tournament.
[Rugby Sevens] First Rugby Sevens Tournament: The 1st Rugby Sevens championship was held at the Komaba Field of the University of Tokyo supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Sports and Culture.
[International] The Royal Navy's HMS Suffolk came to Japan in May (one win and one loss)
