Meiji won all their nine matches claiming their 21st title for three years in a row. In the 26th Kanto University Rugby League, Hosei won all their eight matches claiming their 10th league title and for the first time in eight years. In the 64th Kansai University Rugby League, Doshisha won all their six matches claiming their 37th league title and for the first time in four years. In Kyushu, Kyushu Sangyo claimed the title, and in the 2nd Kyushu University Rugby Championship, Kyushu Sangyo beat Seinan Gakuin 20−8.
