Japan travelled to Sydney for their second game. Unfortunately for Japan, England was in its element and defeated Japan completely. The first half was a see-saw game, but Japan missed two penalties out of three, and this left a lasting mark throughout the game. Japan's forwards fell behind in the second half. England gave Japan a hard time with their pattern of coming out vertically before scattering sideways. They scored ten tries in total. The score differential was 53, but I don't think this accurately represents the difference in power between the two countries. England with national pride at stake achieved more of their potential while things were swayed from bad to worse for Japan. The team may dread the next match against Australia, but for each of the players, the only thing they can do is to act their part as best they can.
