A bad weather and a high sea. Spent most of the day in bed.
Finished Charles Dicken’s “American Notes”. It is altogether out of date. The first chapter of the boistras［sic］ voyage across the Atlantic is very good and amusing.
悪天候で波が高い。一日の大半をベッドで過ごした。チャールズ・ディケンズの『アメリカ探訪』を読み終えたが、全体的に時代遅れだった。大西洋を横断する荒々しい航海に関する最初の章はとても良く、興味深かった。
