Got up early in the morning. The ship is moving slowly. The Vancouver island is about 200 miles long and 20 miles wide. We have been sailing since yesterday afternoon all along the island.
Weather cloudy the sun breaking out now and then. Every passenger is getting ready to get off. This is the 22nd day since we left Yokohama.
［欄外］たこまなだ日の入るときぞしきしまのふじの高根の夜明なるらん
三千里なかきたびちも恙がなくたこまのさとにつけるうれしさ
朝早く起床する。船はゆっくりと進んでいる。バンクーバー島は長さ約200マイル、幅約20マイルで、昨日の午後からずっとこの島に沿って航行している。天気は曇りで、時々隙間から太陽が顔を出していた。乗船客は皆、降りる準備をしている。横浜を出発してから今日で22日目である。
