Mr. Mott came to New York and met him just for minute. Called on Dr. Ellingwood again. Took the four o’clock train from N.Y. and arrived at Northfield 10 P.M. Mr. Mott was in the same train. Had a very good talk with him. He showed me his new book - an account of his tour round the world.

Quite good night.

ミスター・モットがニューヨークに来たので、わずかな時間だけ会うことができた。ドクター・エリングウッドも再び訪ねた。4時ニューヨーク発の汽車に乗り、午後10時にノースフィールドに到着。同じ汽車にミスター・モットが乗っていて、非常に良い会話ができた。世界中を旅した経験を記した彼の新刊も見せてもらった。なかなか良い夜だった。
