We passed the Meridian last night and here we “dropt” a day today.
It was foggy pretty much all day but a calm sea.
Enjoyed very much reading Ian MacLaren’s Besides the Bonny［sic］ Brier Bush. The story is full of pathos. I liked it far better than his “Mind of the Master” which disappointed me.
昨晩子午線［日付変更線？］を超えたため、日付が1日進んだ。
ほぼ一日中霧が出ていたが、海は穏やかだった。イアン・マクラーレンの『Beside the Bonnie Brier Bush』を非常に楽しみながら読んだ。情念に満ちた物語だった。期待外れだった同著者の『Mind of the Master』よりずっと好みだった。
