In the morning went to the First Ave. Church and heard Dr. Jowel preach a very good sermon. His subject God's leading in the[sic]every details of individual life. His point was it was the details that made up the final destiny, just as snowflakes contributes to make the avalanche. But in order to know this Divine leading three steps were necessary. 1. Surrender of will,
2. Constant wakefulness, 3. Unflinching obedience. The Church was full. In the afternoon, Mr. Ohno called and purveyed his complaints about his wife's lacking of sympathy. He took me to a Japanese restaurant. Wrote letters to home.
