In the morning wrote a lengthy letter to Mano and returned by mail his Baedeker on Switzerland and northern Italy which were of great use to me.
As I had a slight headache I took a boat ride on the lake to the other end. The views were not so good as I expected but the day was fine and it was a pleasant ride. Left at 2.30 and came at 7.30. I am finding it here rather dull, having nothing specially to do.
午前中は真野に長い手紙を書き、郵送でスイスと北イタリアのベデカー旅行案内書を返却する。これは大変役にたった。
軽い頭痛を感じたため、遊覧船で湖の反対岸まで行って
みた。期待したほど良い景色ではなかったが、好天で楽しい舟遊びだった。2時30分に出て、戻ったのは7時30分である。ここはどうも退屈でいけない、特に何もすることがない。
