Afterwards I found out that in the same train there were in all ten Japanese going home, which made it very pleasant. We went from one car to the other quite frequently and had our meals at the same table［,］also.
For three days after leaving Moscow it was very hot and dusty, very disagreeable. But after or rather from the Ural Moun-tain［s］it became cooler and quite comfortable. Besides［,］the presence of so many fellow countrymen in the same train made the otherwise tedious journey endurable.
結局、同じ列車で帰国する日本人は合計10人いるとわかった。これでずいぶん楽しい旅行になった。車室を行き来し、また食事は同じテーブルでとるなどした。
モスクワを出て3日間はひどく暑い上、埃っぽく、かなり不快であった。その後、というよりウラル山脈からは涼しく、なかなか快適になった。そのうえ同じ列車にたくさんの邦人がいて長旅も耐えられた。そうでなければ退屈きわまりない旅だったろう。
