Clear brisk weather, frost on the ground.
Dr. Heim spoke on Christianity and Philosophy. It was thoughtful and very well presented.
I was invited with Dr. & Mrs. Mott and other representative persons to a nice Chinese Luncheon by Dr. Woo 鸟（?）of the Union medical college and Prof. Tewa［?］巢of Tin Hua College. After the Luncheon we went to the President Reception. It was at his official Residence. He read his address in Chinese & it was translated by a Chinese officer. In response Dr. Mott made a rather lengthy address ― too long. After the Reception Jap. delegation went to a Chinese Restaurant and enjoyed the Chinese dinner.
晴天で寒い日、地面に霜。
ドクター・ハイムがキリスト教と哲学について話をした。思慮に富んだ内容で、話も巧みであった。
ドクター・モットとその夫人、他の代表者らに招かれて、協和医学院のドクター・ウー烏（?）と清華カレッジのプロフェッサー・テワ［?］【巢】主催の美味しい中国料理の昼食会にあずかる。昼食会の後は皆で会長による歓
迎レセプションに出た。彼の公邸で行われたものだ。会長は中国語で演説し、それを中国人役員が通訳した。これに答えてドクター・モットが長めの演説をした――長すぎた。この会の後は日本の代表団は中国料理店に行き、晩餐を楽しんだ。
