| 都心から約40㎞という場所に位置しながら、豊富な農地や林地を残し、都市機能と自然が共存しているのが瑞穂町です。古くから日光街道、江戸街道などの街道が集まる要衝で、歴史的資源や、狭山丘陵、狭山池、残堀川などの豊かな自然環境・景観資源があります。これらの地域資源をむすぶだけでなく、さらに地域住民がお互いに連携して支えあう「繋(つな)がる」という考え方が、今後のまちづくりにおいて大切なことです。 | Located approximately 40km from the center of Tokyo, Mizuho is a town where rich farmland and forests still remain, and where urban functions and nature coexist. Mizuho is a strategic location where various routes such as the Nikko Kaido avenue and the Edo Kaido Route converge. It also possess a wealth of historical resources as well as natural and scenic resources such as the Sayama Hills, Sayama Lake, and the Zanbori River. What is important in further town development in the future is not just connecting these local resources, but also the concept of "connecting" where local residents cooperate and join forces with each other. |
| 平成23年度からスタートした第4次長期総合計画では、「みらいにずっと ほこれるまち」を10年後の都市像として掲げ、「健康で元気なみずほ」「一人ひとりが輝くみずほ」「魅力ある温かいみずほ」「安全安心やさしいみずほ」「快適で美しいみずほ」を基本目標とし、新たなまちづくりを目指しています。また、計画の推進にあたっての基本理念を「自立と協働」としました。これからのまちづくりは、地域の人びとが英知を結集して協働することが必要となっています。町民や地域団体などと行政が、それぞれ自立して対等な関係で役割分担を行い、お互いが支えあって活力あるまちづくりを実現していくことが求められています。 | In the 4th Long-Term Comprehensive Plan started in 2011, the basic objectives that were laid down were based on an urban image 10 years of now of a "Town to be Proud of Far Into the Future" and included "A Healthy and Lively Mizuho," "A Mizuho Where Every Individual Shines," "A Warm and Appealing Mizuho," "A Safe, Secure, and Kind Mizuho," and "A Comfortable and Beautiful Mizuho." These objectives were established in with the aim of creating a new way of town development. Furthermore, "Independence and Cooperation" was adopted as the basic principle in promoting the plan. What is required in town development going forward, is that the local residents gather their collective wisdom and cooperate with one another. The townspeople, local organizations, and the administration must independently and equally perform their roles, support each other, and realize vibrant town development. |
