 | 牟田久壽さん 昭和41年4月瑞穂中学校音楽科教諭として赴任して以来20年、中学校ブラスバンドの育成のほか、瑞穂青少年吹奏楽団を創設し、全国吹奏楽コンテストにおいて4回にわたり金賞を受賞、町の名を全国に知らしめました。また、耕心館のサロンコンサートの企画・運営や、吹奏楽塾瑞穂などの幅広い音楽活動、町と横田基地との友好などにご尽力されています。 |
| Mr. Hisatoshi Muta In the 20 years since he was appointed as a teacher of music at Mizuho Junior High School in April 1966, Mr. Muta has nurtured and developed the junior high school brass band. He also established the Mizuho Youth Wind Ensemble, which has won four gold medals in the All Japan Band Contest, making the town name of Mizuho a household one. Mr. Muta has also planned and run salon concerts at the Koshinkan Hall, and he is also active in a wide array of musical activities such as the Wind Ensemble Class, Mizuho and friendship activities between the town and Yokota Air Base. |

| Mr. Brian Yoshiaki Shiroyama From his experience in working at Yokota Air Base, Mr. Shiroyama has been the central figure in building good relationships with the city of Morgan Hill in the U.S. since Mizuho became its sister city. He has made substantial contributions, both privately and officially, to the sister city friendship between both cities. He is active in spreading knowledge of the history and culture of Mizuho and Morgan Hill, as well as being the central figure in the Morgan Hill Sister City Committee. |

| Ms. Judy Haruko Little Ms. Little has supported interactions with the city of Morgan Hill since the establishment of the sister city relationship. She has provided substantial contributions in a variety of forms to friendship activities such as securing homestay hosts to accept townspeople dispatched from Mizuho. Among her activities in putting into practice sister city interactions, she has helped establish quilt exhibits as a yearly cultural interaction project in her role as a mediator for the Quilt Association. |
 | 栗原昭一さん 町と横田基地との民間交流を図る瑞穂・横田交流協会を設立し、町行事等への基地関係者の参加、文化交流を通じた相互理解など、民間交流の基礎を築きあげ、現在も代表として交流の発展にご尽力されています。また、瑞穂町商工会役員及び会長として、18年の長きにわたり商工会の発展に寄与され、商工業の振興に関する商工会の研究機能を高めた功績により称号の授与となりました。 |
| Mr. Shoichi Kurihara Mr. Kurihara established the Mizuho-Yokota Friendship Association to promote civilian interactions between Mizuho and Yokota Air Base. He also established the foundation for civilian interactions with the base, such as participation by base personnel in town activities and mutual understanding through cultural exchanges. He is still active to this day as a representative of the town in promoting friendship and exchange. As a director and the chairman of the Mizuho Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Kurihara has also contributed to the development of the chamber of commerce over a period of 18 years. Mr. Kurihara was awarded the title of Honorary Townsperson through his achievements in improving research functions of the chamber of commerce in relation to the promotion of the chamber of commerce. |
