2.再編交付金事業2. Realignment Grant Projects

　再編交付金事業は、『駐留軍等の再編の円滑な実施に関する特別措置法』(平成19年法律第67号)第6条の規定に基づく施策であり、国は、以下のようにそれぞれ指定することができ、再編関連特定周辺市町村に再編交付金を交付できると定められている。The realignment grant project is a measure in accordance with the provision of Article 6 in the "Act on Special Measures for Smooth Implementation of Realignment of United States Forces, etc." (Act No. 67 of 2007), which stipulates that the national government can designate the following each project and can deliver the realignment grant to the realignment-related nominated municipalities around the base.
①　駐留軍等の再編の実施に伴い負担が増加し、その周辺地域における住民生活の安定に及ぼす影響の増加に配慮することが必要と認められる防衛施設を再編関連特定防衛施設とする。① The realignment-related specific defense facilities are identified as those which are deemed necessary, taking into account any elevated impact on the assured quality of life of residents within the surrounding area. With the increased burden from realigning the forces stationed in Japan, etc.
②　当該防衛施設の周辺地域をその区域とする市町村のうち、周辺地域における住民の生活の安定に及ぼす影響の増加の程度を考慮し、再編関連特別事業を行うことが駐留軍等の再編の円滑かつ確実な実施に資するため必要であると認められる市町村を再編関連特定周辺市町村とする。② Among the municipalities in the area surrounding the above defined defense facilities, those identified as realignment-related are ones where the realignment-related special projects are needed to assist the smooth and reliable realignment of the stationed forces, etc., by taking into account any increased impact on the assured quality of life of residents within the surrounding area .
　平成19年度より10年間が交付期間となっており、事業実施のための基金を設けることで、交付期間を超えても事業が継続可能となっている。While the grant period is 10 years from fiscal year 2007, a project can continue for a period longer than the grant period by establishing a fund for execution of the project.

運行にかかる事業費に再編交付金が充てられている。
Welfare buses are available free of charge for the elderly people or people with disabilities, and have been operated on three routes.
