This highway proceeds eastward after separating from Nikko Kaido at the Hakonegasaki south police substation (where Seki-ya was running an inn and general goods wholesaler at this corner). It continues onward, bypassing the front of Ippon-enoki (a single hackberry [Celtis sinensis] tree) of Tonogaya, and through Oise-no-mori (Oise's forest) of Murayama, Koshin-zuka of Higasih Yamato and Kudo-no-tsuji, and eventually reaches Tanashi-no-hashiba (the bridge site at Tanashi) where it merges into Oedo Kaido. Because the road ran close to the houses, along the Zanbori River, etc., travelers such as the Mitake-doja used this road. It was characteristic of the area that enoki trees were planted along the side of this road, and some places were named with suffix-enoki, e.g., Nihon-enoki (two hackberry trees) of Ishihata, Ippon-enoki of Tonogaya and Zanbori, and Sanbon-enoki (three hackberry trees) of Murayama Nakato. Mostly, enoki had been planted on a mound on the northeast side of the crossroads.
