| 友田街道ともいう。羽村街道の北側を走る道で八高線の踏切り手前で羽村街道と分れ、九丁目のグランドをつっきって西方の畑へつづく。大江戸街道を横切って、小作坂上に出て、更に多摩川を渡って友田に達する。戦前までは農道としてもかなり利用されていたが、飛行場の誘導路に分断され、羽村地区の土地改良事業等で道路のつけ替えが行われたため、今では道筋も明らかでない。 | It is also referred to as Tomoda Kaido. The road runs north of Hamura Kaido, from which it splits this side of the crossing with the Hachiko Line, followed by cutting through the sport ground at 9-chome, and continuing westward to the crop fields. Then it goes across the Oedo Kaido, on to Ozaku-saka-ue, and reaches Tomoda after going farther across the Tama River. Until before the war, it had been fairly used as a farm road. However, even its path is no longer clear because it was not only divided by the airfield taxiway, but also re-directed due to the land improvement project, etc. in the Hamura district. |
