| Mikka-ichiba probably refers to Tokorozawa, where the market used to be open on the days with a "3" (the 3rd, 13th and 23rd of the month) and also the days with an "8" (similarly, the 8th, 18th, and 28th). When estimated by going on the old record's account of the road that passed by the north of Chichibu Kaido, it was possible to ascertain the original track of the road running through Nishi-daira - Kasoba (crematrium) - Fujiyama-kita and joining Tokorozawa Kaido. The southern portion of this road is thought to have led to Itsukaichi area by way of Ozaku. |
