| 箱根ケ崎駅の西南字野辺にある。(箱根ケ崎三七八番地)うらなし街道最初の左折の道は、六道の辻へ向うが、その途中に塚がある。現在は塚のすぐ南側は新青梅街道の切通しとなって道もそこで行止まっている。直径三間、高さ五尺位、積上げられた土は殆んど黒土で草に覆われている。由来を示すものは何も見当らない。民家の軒先が塚の北端にかかり、保存に留意する必要がある。 | The mound is situated in Aza-Nobe, which is southwest of Hakonegasaki Station. (Address: 378 Hakonegasaki, Mizuho-machi) When turning left at the first corner on Uranashi Kaido, there is a road leading to Rokudo-no-tsuji, and the mound is situated en route half-way along this route. These days, the immediate south side of the mound has become 'kiridoshi' (the terrain cut through) by Shin-Ome Kaido, and this is where the road ended. The mound is approx. 3-ken (5.5 m) in diameter and 5-shaku (1.5 m) high, and the mound's heaped-up soil is almost black and is covered with grass. There is nothing to indicate the historical origin of the site. The eaves of a private house hang over the north end of the mound, and care needs to be taken to protect the conservational integrity of the site. |
