一四二番地杉山稲荷の辺りは、上州街道、松原街道が交差するところで、杉木立があったため、こう呼ばれたのであろう。稲荷の勧請は、享和年間でそう古くはないが、この近辺からは、板碑が出土し、中世からの要地と考えられる。 | Its name may be derived from the cedar trees which were lined along kaido, because the area, where Sugiyama Inari is situated at 142 Hakonegasaki, was the intersection of Joshū Kaido and Matsubara Kaido. Although founded in the Kyowa period (1801-1804) and therefore not so old, this place is considered the key area from the Middle Ages because Itabi have been excavated in the neighborhood. |
