 八高線が北上して、栗原新田へかかる手前山林になりかかったやや窪地の地名。同名の踏切りあり。青梅方面からの伏流水がこの辺から湧出るが、ちょうど、酒樽の口から、ボゴ、ボゴと湧出る様に似ているのでつけられたとか。最近は長雨の時以外は湧出ていない。この水は狭山池に注ぐ。It is the place name of the slightly depressed area just before it turns into a hilly forest, which is before the Kurita Shinden where the Hachiko Line travels north. There is a rail crossing under the same name there. The name is said to be derived from the spring here, which is where an underground river from the Ome area emerges, characterized by burbling spring sounds, thought to be just like sake gushing from the spout of a sake barrel. However, in recent times it only gushes out in this way during a long spell of rain. This water flows into Sayama Pond.
