○モモノ木入○ Momono-ki-iri (leading to Momonoki [a peach tree]).
 安永六年の検地帳に唯一つのる地名。It is the only place name listed in the Kenchi-cho of An'ei 6 (1777).

○松ナミ木キワ○ Matsu-namiki-kiwa (beside a pine tree-lined road)
 松並木際のことで「はし」「はて」または「かたわら」「そば」。松並木の終わるところか。The name refers to a place right beside the pine tree-lined road. An alternative to "kiwa (beside)" can be "hate (edge of)", "katawara (on the side)" or "soba (by)". Therefore, the place name presumably indicated a location where lines of pine trees ended.
