| 長谷部(良)家文書は、享保年間から幕末に至る新田開発文書で、整理済みのもの160点である。享保期、新田開発の典型的な姿が同家の文書から浮彫りにされ、開発人の意欲や百姓仲間請新田の形成過程等明らかとなる。 | The ancient rice field development documents of the Hasebe (Ryo) family stretch from the Kyoho era to the late Edo period, and include 160 organized documents.The documents depict a typical experience from the Kyoho era new rice field development, including the developer's enthusiasm and business agreements with peasants showing the process of the formation of the rice fields. |
| 特に貴重なものは、次の資料である。 ① 新田願地仲間証文 享保9年(1724年)8月、吉左衛門、勘次郎兄弟が七百町歩の地域を開発しようという願いの証文。 ② 開発井戸関係文書 享保19年(1734年)に上坂安左衛門、延享元年に川崎平右衛門の役所へ出した文書。 ③ 開発地売渡証文等 売渡しと買受けに関する文書で、旺盛な商業的意欲が感じられる。 ④ 寺社関係文書 愛宕神社勧請(かんじょう)関係、引寺に関する運動の記録、東善院出入問題等、勘次郎の執念がこもる。 ⑤ 大岡越前守より開発褒美金五両頂戴の請書 享保14年(1729年)、名主勘次郎等が南町奉行に差出したもの。 | The following documents are especially valuable. 1. New Rice Field Land Application Business Agreement - August 1724. This document shows the brothers Kichizaemon and Kanjiro Hasebe's request to develop approx. 700 hectares. 2. Documents related to well development - These documents were submitted to the offices of Yasuzaemon Uezaka in 1734 and Heiemon Kawasaki in 1744. 3. Documents related to the sale and transfer of development land - These documents relate to the sale and purchase of the land, exhibiting a powerful commercial motivation. 4. Temple and shrine documents - These documents show Kanjiro's tenacity, and include records related to praying for a deity to come to Atago Shrine, records related to the effort to bring a temple to the town, and issues related to the revenue and expenditures of Tozenin Temple. 5. Documentation of the receipt of development money from Ooka, the governor of Echizen - These documents were submitted by Kanjiro, the head of the village, to the magistrate of Minami-machi. |
