丸に揚羽蝶(あげはちょう)の紋があり、備前(岡山県)池田家より伝来といわれている。冑は蝶の前立3枚錏(しころ)、甲は胴丸黒革8枚の草摺(くさずり)をたれている。鎖帷子(くさりかたびら)1領、源吉道作銘の鉄扇(てっせん)が附属している。

This Kacchuu has a family crest of a swallowtail butterfly in a circle. This is said to be from Ikeda family in Bizen (Okayama-ken). Kabuto has a butterfly in front and three sets of articulated plates in the back, and Yoroi has eight tassets of black leather. This is accompanied by a full unit of Kusari-katabira (chain mail) and a tessen (iron fan) with the inscription saying "Made by Minamoto Yoshimichi."
