出土地及び日時については不明であるが、古くより針谷寺に寄贈されたと推定される。石棒(せきぼう)は、縄文時代中期以降、豊穣を祈る呪術的祭儀に用いた。石皿(いしざら)は、木の実などを磨り潰す道具として使用された。多孔石(たこういし)も石皿(いしざら)の一つである。穴の部分に木の実などを置き磨り潰したと考えられている。3点とも町内で他に出土している例は無く、現存する縄文時代の遺物として、大変に貴重なものである。

It is unknown where and when these were unearthed. They are presumed to be donated to Shinkoku-ji in old days. Sekibou was used for a sorcerous ceremony praying for abundant harvest from the middle of Joumon period. Ishizara was used to grind nuts. Takou-ishi is also a kind of Ishizara. Nuts were thought to be placed on the holes to be ground. There is no other example of the three items unearthed in the town. They are invaluable as the existing relics of the Joumon period.
