          "旭志川辺区にある川辺熊野座神社は、由来記によると、桓武天皇の延暦年間(782～806)に創建された神社で、旭志地域の中では最も古いものである。　  　明治24年(1891)2月、千百年大祭にあたり神楽奉納の儀を決め施行されたのが始まりであるという。　神楽は合志神楽に属し、奉剣、次剣、芝、御幣、和弓、四剣、神撰歌、地鎮と8つの舞があり、構成は太鼓2人、笛2人、舞人6人である。奉納は毎年11月3日だけであるが年季祭として25年ごとに大祭が行われている。前回は平成23年(2011)3月に神幸行列が華やかに行われ、神輿、極彩色の矢五郎像2体が担がれ、その後に数頭の飾り馬、馬子たちの「祝い歌」、各組の手踊り達が続き賑わうなか、途中2箇所の御旅所で神楽が奉納された。  神楽の奉納は11月3日(8時半頃から)行われる。"
