  "description": "18世紀中頃より、武蔵野の村々では河川・用水路に多くの水車がしかけられ、生産した穀物の製粉に用いられた。各分水は、水車を動かす動力源として利用されるようになったのである。絵図には、各所に「○○水車」という記載があり、大沼田新田を通る分水路に、いくつもの水車がしかけられていたことがわかる。",
