高田川ぞいにある大中公園を中心とした南北2.5kmつづく桜は、とてもきれいで、「ひとめ一千本」といわれるほど、有名です。
　この桜は、第二次世界大戦という大きな戦争がおわったとき、まちを元気にするために、ちかくに住む人たちや子どもたちがうえました。
　この桜なみきは、大和高田市のシンボルです。これにちなんで、大和高田市でうまれる綿のブランド名を「さくらコットン」にしました。
The remarkably beautiful cherry blossoms that extend 2.5 km south and north of the Onaka Park located along the Takadagawa River are known as “one thousand cherry trees at a glance.”
These trees were planted by the residents and children living nearby to uplift the spirits of the community after a major war, World War II, ended.
These cherry trees are a symbol of Yamato Takada City. Sakura Cotton, which is a cotton brand from Yamato Takada City, was named after these trees.
