・明治29年(1896年)、近代的設備の大和紡績会社が大和高田の資本(お金)で創られました。
それは、イギリス製の機械で外国から買った綿花を加工する近代工場で、当時としては現代的な煉瓦造りの建物でした。
In 1896, Yamato Spinning Company, with modern facilities, was established with capital raised by Yamato Takada.
At this modern factory, cotton purchased from overseas was processed by machines made in England. The factory was a brick building, which was very contemporary at that time.
・大和紡績会社はその後、摂津紡績会社、大日本紡績株式会社と名前がかわり、日本三大紡績工場のひとつとなりました。みんなから「ニチボー」という名前で親しまれました。
Yamato Spinning Company later changed its name to Dainihon Cotton Spinning Company after a merger with Settsu Spinning Company, becoming one of the three largest spinning factories in Japan. The factory was well-received by people and was nicknamed “Nichibo.”

・鉄道が大阪〜高田間に通り、大正期の大和高田は奈良県で一番の「ものづくりの町」となったのです。
・大日本紡績工場が発展して、機械の修理や加工、繊維加工・染色など関連産業も発達しました。
With the railway service connecting Osaka and Takada, Yamato Takada in the Taisho period became the largest manufacturing town in Nara prefecture.
As the Dainihon Cotton Spinning Company prospered, factory-related industries, such as machine repair and processing and textile processing and dyeing, also started to develop.
