The company uses different knitting machines depending on the product. The company also has its own original knitting machine.
 
＜製品工場の中＞
Inside the factory

この機械では、「さくらコットン」を使った「おくるみ」が作られています。
1枚1枚仕上がった状態で、下へ出てきます。まわりを、縫う必要がありません。
1枚仕上がるのに、40～50分間かかります。
縫い目がないので、全体がやわらかい肌ざわりです。
This machine is used to make swaddling cloths for babies from Sakura Cotton.
Swaddling cloths come out of the machine completed one by one. No additional sewing (hemming, for example) is necessary.
It takes about 40 to 50 minutes to make one swaddling cloth.
Since there are no seams, the entire cloth is soft to the touch.
 

これは、赤ちゃんに授乳するときに使う「ストール」です。首回りにやわらかいプラスティックの芯を通して作ります。
赤ちゃんの顔に直接布がかからず、息がしやすいように、工夫されています。
この「ストール」も縫い目がありません。
This is a stole used to breastfeed. A soft plastic core is used around the neck.
It is designed so that the fabric does not directly touch the baby’s face for easier breathing.
This stole also has no seams.
 

「さくらコットン」で作られた赤ちゃんの服です。ピンクの色は植物からとれた染料です。
とても肌ざりがよく、からだにも安全な製品です。
These are a baby vest and cap made with Sakura Cotton. The pink areas are colored with a natural dye.
These products are very soft to the touch with no negative health effects.
 

工場内の機械は、製品によって違うものが使われていますが、すべて編み用機械は左右に動き、編み目がなく、仕上がっていきます。糸の色は、植物染料や鉱物からとった安全な染料が使われています。
Machines in the factory are used differently depending on the product, however, all machines move to the right and left to create knit products with no seams. Yarn is colored with harmless dyes obtained from plants and minerals.
 

代表取締役の高井準雄（たかいのりお）さんと息子さんで専務の高井大介さんです。
This is the president of the factory, Norio Takai and his son and managing director of the factory, Daisuke Takai.

＜製品工場の中＞
Inside the factory
 

工場内の機械は、丸編み用です。
These machines are for circular knitting.
 

たくさんの機械が動いています。靴下やサポーターなどを編む機械もあります。
There are many machines in operation. There are also machines for knitting socks and athletic supporters.
 

編みあがった布を裁断して仕上げる作業も工場内でしています。
The knitted fabric is also cut and finished at the factory.
 

型紙にそって切っていきます。これは、さくらコットンのスタイ（よだれかけ）です。
Fabric is cut according to paper patterns. This is a bib made with Sakura Cotton.
 

いろんな種類の裁断用型紙があります。
There are various types of paper patterns for cutting.
 

 

ミシンで縫っていきます。
The bib is being sewn with a sewing machine.
 

みくちゃんのししゅう入り赤ちゃんのスタイができあがり！大和高田市立病院では生まれた赤ちゃんへのプレゼントにしています。
This is a bib embroidered with the image of a character called “Miku-chan.” These bibs are given to babies born in Yamato Takada City Hospital as a present.
 

洗たく室です。仕上がった製品は、必ず水洗いと乾燥をしています。縮むのを防ぐためと、風合いをよくするためです。外国製品ではしていない工程です。洗たくと乾燥時間は30分～60分です。綿製品は時間が長く、合成繊維は早く乾きます。
出てきた製品は、柔らかくふっくらとなっています。ひとつひとつ、ていねいに作られています。
This is a laundry room. All finished products are washed with water and dried to prevent shrinkage and improve their texture. This process is not normally done overseas. The washing and drying takes about 30 to 60 minutes. It takes longer for cotton products to dry than for synthetic fabrics.
Products coming out of the laundry room are soft and fluffy. Each product is made with special care
 

仕上がり具合も、きちんとチェックされます。ハヤシ・ニットでは、製品になるまでのすべての作業を、自社工場内で行っています。
and checked thoroughly before it is shipped. Hayashi knit Co., Ltd. conducts all production processes within their factory.
