内本町(うちほんまち)交差点(大和高田市本郷町)

内本町交差点と好仁橋(こうじんばし)欄干。
ここに高田川が流れていて、好仁橋がかかっていました。今は交差点西側に橋の欄干が残されています。
Uchihonmachi Intersection and Kojinbashi Bridge railing．
Takadagawa River flowed here and was crossed by Kojinbashi Bridge. A bridge railing still remains to the west of the intersection．

 

欄干の横には、昔の高田川の流れがわかる地図が書かれた石板が建っています。
Next to the bridge railing, there is a stone map showing the path of the old Takadagawa River．

水本さんのおはなし
昭和51年頃の市役所通りと中央道路が交差した東側の写真です。この頃の市役所通りは、今のJR高田駅から本町通りとの交差点あたりまで狭く、車で走るのがたいへんでした。

This is a photo taken around 1976 showing the east side of the intersection of the street to the Yamato Takada City Hall and Chuo Road. At the time, the street to Yamato Takada City Hall was narrow until around the intersection of the present-day JR Takada Station and Honmachi Street, so it was difficult to drive a car around here．
 
 

昭和48(1973)年頃の写真です。中央道路をわたって逆から見た風景です。今の南都銀行本町支店の前あたりから撮影しています。ちょうど右側の看板のある家の前が本町通りとの交差点です。おくに少し見える家から道が狭くなっていました。
This is a photo taken around 1973. It shows the view seen from the opposite direction across Chuo Road. The photo was taken from around front of the present-day Honmachi Branch of Nanto Bank. Just in front of the house with the signboard shown on the right is the intersection with Honmachi Street. The street gets narrower as it passes the house, which is partly shown in the back of the photo．
