“Keio's Loss by a Hair against YC&AC with the First Drop Goal for a Japanese Team”
The seventh match with YC&AC was held at Mitatsunamachi for the first time, which was a very tight game. This match can be summarized as follows: (1) Tanabe, a rookie, put forth great effort. (2) In about the 15th minute of the first half, a 16-year-old (senior) SH, Kaisaku Miyagawa, scored a great DG (4 points at that time) which greatly excited the spectators. (3) Keio was winning 4-3 just before full-time, but the overseas referee did not blow the final whistle. At last they allowed the opponent team to score a successful try and lost the game 6-4.
