The three leaves of the school emblem, adopted in 1885, symbolize “Body, Mind, Spirit” and represent Kobe College’s ideal of developing a complete and well-balanced person through the harmonious development of all three. Originally, the emblem consisted only of the outline of three leaves, but in 1904, a pin incorporating the letters K and C within the leaves was adopted. In the early Showa period, two pins designed by Kambara Hiroshi were created, one for the Academy of Kobe College and the other for Kobe College Senmonbu. The collection also includes student association pins and a pin for Okuradani, which had been considered as a possible site for the campus before the move to Okadayama.
