解題・説明	第4次長期総合計画の将来都市像である「みらいに　ずっと　ほこれるまち」の実現に向け、「繋がり」をテーマとした2012年の町勢要覧。都心から約40kmという場所に位置しながら、豊富な農地や林地を残し、都市機能と自然が共存している瑞穂町。この素晴らしい自然のもと、時代、場所、生活、そして人が、さまざまな“つながり”で結ばれていることを再発見し、自らのまちに愛着と誇りを感じてほしい、との思いで作られている。
解題・説明（英語）	Overview of Mizuho Town of the year 2012, with setting the theme of this booklet as “connection”, based on the idea that “connection” is important to achieve the town’s vision – creating a place we can take pride in even in the distant future – described in the Town’s fourth long-term master plan. While it located in a place only about 40 km from central Tokyo, saving rich farmland and forest, function of urban area and nature are well-coexisted in Mizuho Town. This overview was published in the hope that citizens would have affection and pride in their nature-rich town by rediscovering various connections in its citizens, days, places and activities.
