榧(かや)の一本木造りで背面を深く内ぼりしている。衣冠(いかん)をつけた堂々たる立像で、眉太く、鼻引きしまり端厳(たんげん)なる相好(そうごう)である。正確な製作年代は不明である。しかし、安永6年(1777)の本殿新築の寄附勧進簿(きふかんじんぼ)の「本殿造立徴序」によると、寛仁2年(1018)の刑部三郎成常の社殿修理、万寿元年(1024)の祭礼開始の記載があるので、あるいはこの時期に、製作されたとも考えられる。

This wooden statue of Dengozu-Tennou in a standing position was carved out of a single wood of kaya (Japanese nutmeg) and its back side was deeply carved out. This is an imposing statue of the deity in kimono and ancient headdress. Eye brows are thick with a sharp nose and the countenance is solemn. It is unknown exactly when it was created. However, the "Honden Zouritsu Choujo" in "Kifu Kanjin-bo" for newly building the inner shrine in the Anei period 6 (1777) shows the recording of repair of the shrine by Osakabe Saburo-Naritsune in the Kannin period 2 (1018) and the celebration beginning in the Manju period 1 (1024). It is possible that this statue was created during that time.
