Fudo-in Temple (Dainichido Hall),whose hip-roofed main hall has been designated as one of Japan’s important cultural properties. It is said that the temple was formerly Kinrinzan Shobodai-ji Temple,constructed by Prince Shotoku. Then,the temple was built by Tamenaga Toma,who was the owner of Takada Castle in 1483. This is a temple of the Omuro School of the Shingon sect,and its principal object of worship is Dainichinyorai.
